Like father like son...

They are about the same age in these photos. I also have a photo of Justin at the same age in a pair of overalls. This is something that I wanted to do for both of their one year-ish photos. The black and white photo is of Justin around a year old.

Grandparents turn your heads!

Just a sneak peek at the gifts for Grandparent's day. It is September 7 if you had forgotten...I had some free photo book credits that were expiring today. So, we had to take a trip for photos to fill up those books with. We hauled the wagon up the big hill and down a little hill to a creek up the block from our house. The boys had fun for the first 15 minutes, then Liam got cranky. I don't think he liked the damp grass. All in all, it was a lot of fun.

Dishes?

Just trying to save time by rinsing Liam off in the sink. Yeah right. Oliver had to join in. It was fun actually. Oliver was a little timid about squeezing down into the sink, but once he was in, he didn't want out.

Just some interesting moments around the house lately. I didn't take photos of the poop in the bathwater last night. I thought that might be a little much. And this just isn't "that" kind of blog. And yes, Oliver did fall asleep with a backhoe on his face. I thought for sure I was going to wake him up, I was laughing so hard.

"taka baf momma"

Fun with Kenzie. G-dogg, Tasha, and Kenzie came over for dinner and the kids decided to take a bath. This photos will serve well as blackmail later on, that I am sure of.

Popsicles

Annie and the kids came over for a visit a few weeks ago. The kids had a ton of fun playing in the sprinkler. It was great to have visitors. We still haven't met many people in Covington yet. So, when people venture over this way, it is a nice surprise. Thanks for hanging out guys.

(Edit: I don't have Adobe Photoshop on my new computer. It is not compatible with Vista. BAH! So, whatcha see is whatcha get in the photo department. Don't judge me...)

A few of my latest sewing projects.
1. A purse for a sweet 16. She is such an amazing young lady. And she has been through quite a bit for a girl of her years. I am honored to be her friend. She loves pink hearts.
2. The not-so-"ugly" doll for my boy. I had alot of fun making this one. Although stuffing it was a chore. I used a new and better fluffier stuffing that comes in little pellets of clouds. That is what it feels like anyway. Super comfy.
3. A blanket for a new arrival. This had a few mild "cat"astrophes in the making.

I was reading Crazy Aunt Pearl's blog a while back and she was talking about active meditation. That is what sewing is for me. I just sew and I don't think about much except the task at hand. It is refreshing. Well, not so much when I have to get out the seam ripper. Those days I want to chuck that sewing machine out in the road. But alas, what good is a good day if you have never had the bad?
